What to Do With Unwanted Baby Clothes

Frugal Tip of the Day: What to Do With Unwanted Baby Clothes

What should I do with all these clothes that I no longer need?

If you have UNWANTED baby and toddler clothes, do not throw them away or give them to Goodwill. You may ask, "What should I do with all these clothes that I no longer need?" Donate them to a good cause. There is usually a Benevolence in your area for unwanted baby items and clothes. Places like Crisis Pregnancy Center and Birthright are happy to accept baby and toddler clothes for the different women in need. They have a ministry to help single mothers and low-income mothers clothe their little ones.

In most cases, they are just volunteers. Having volunteered at Birthright years ago, I can remember what a joy it was to help these women out. All I did was fill the baskets; the real givers were the ones that kindly donated their baby clothing and baby accessories. Remember, you or someone you love could be in a similar situation someday and you'll be glad for non- profit organizations like these.

If you want tax credit, in most cases they can usually provide you with that a form.

If you cannot find a crisis pregnancy center in your area, there are many local churches that have a Benevolence for items like these. If you know of a Homeless Shelter that would be another good way to get rid of unwanted baby clothes and help someone else. It will take a little effort on your part, but once you find a place that needs these baby items, you will be glad your hard-earned money helped someone else out. Also, this is a way of how to be frugal with your extras

Note: the reason I say do not take to Goodwill is that they charge a pretty good price on their items-donated items. I would rather see no profit made on donated items. If you want to help someone out, get it directly to them if you can. Goodwill is okay if you do not have anywhere else to go with your clothes and other accessories. There is always a charity of some sort looking for exactly what you have.

This is a frugal tip from a frugal momma. Being frugal must be a way of life if you want to stay out of debt and make the most of your money.

To the Christians:
And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.' Matthew 25:40 NKJV
Thanks and God Bless You.
